Kotagiri Women's Welfare Trust (KWWT) a Non-Governmental Organization was established in the year 1993 by Mr.B.Jebaraj in Kotagiri, The Nilgiris District, Tamilnadu, South India. The foundation of the trust is based on the ideology of holistic care and services that embraces all regardless of their caste, creed, religion or belief and to believe that every life has equal value and reduce inequities and to improve the lives of the rural women and children.

Rural women in India suffer from being both economically and socially invisible. Economic invisibility stems from the perception that women are not relevant to the wage and self-employment. There is a need to empower these women to counter this menace while strengthening women's economic security. The target groups of the trust are women and children in particular from various marginalized and downtrodden sections of the society in the rural areas who are marginalized and defeated due to lack of education, inadequate awareness and employment to generate a living wage to sustain themselves.
